The technology of manufacturing nylon prostheses

For the manufacture of dentures from nylon, a special device is required.

Typically, a thermal press for nylon prostheses is used for this purpose. It melts nylon granules, after which liquid nylon is poured into special forms.

The technique of manufacturing nylon structures is quite complicated and sometimes takes several weeks.

• Cast models of the jaws are cast.
• On plaster models, the boundaries of the future prosthesis are drawn with a chemical pencil. Clasps in nylon structures are a continuation of the prosthesis and go above the equator of the tooth and below the gum in the neck of the tooth.
• Waxing of the borders of the prosthesis.
• The final simulation. Modeling should be impeccable, due to the fact that nylon is quite difficult to process.
• Pressing nylon in a thermal press.
• After cooling it is done polishing structures using special polishing devices (milling cutters, circles, brushes).
