Veneers Cerec
Ceres (CEREC) is a complex developed by Swiss scientists in Zurich.
It includes technology, equipment, materials for the manufacture of dental structures (crowns, veneers, inlays) made of ceramic blocks using the CAD / CAM system.
The term CEREC (abbreviated), from the English Chairside Economic Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic, means a device for economical and aesthetic ceramic restoration.
There are two versions of the translation that fully explain the meaning of this complex. According to another version: translated from English Ceramic REConstraction - it is "Ceramic reconstruction".
Some facts
- Cerek has been widely used in dental practice since 1985.
- It is widely used by dental clinics around the world (in more than 25,000 clinics).
- Over 28 years of operation, Cerec has installed more than 20 million restorations.
- Cerek is introduced in more than 150 universities around the world.
- The biocompatibility, effectiveness, as well as the durability of the restorations are confirmed in more than 250 scientific studies.
Cerec technology allows you to install veneers in one medical appointment. Raw materials for the manufacture of veneers are supplied from abroad. Thanks to scanning and computer modeling, veneers are made with high precision.
The integrated Cerek system is one of the innovative dental assistants.
The system includes:
- Scanning intraoral device. With its help, the boundaries of tooth damage are determined. The resulting image is transmitted using a video camera to a computer.
- A personal computer is used to obtain the image and process it. A three-dimensional tooth model is projected onto the monitor with all the defects. On it, the dentist with a high degree of accuracy creates the image of a veneer. After the veneer is modeled, the milling module comes into play.
- The presence of a milling module allows you to grind dental restorations. Using diamond cutters, the veneer is turned from ceramic.
How are they made
The manufacture of veneers is as follows:
- Scanning teeth with an intraoral scanner.
- Data is processed on the CEREC apparatus and transferred to a computer.
- The dentist designs Cerek veneers with maximum precision on a computer.
- Using a grinding unit under the control of a computer program is the production of veneers.
- Veneers try on teeth, if necessary, fit.
The production of one veneer takes no more than 20 minutes.
Benefits
- Prosthetics during one medical visit instead of several visits to the dentist.
- It is not necessary to take an impression, which is relevant for those patients who suffer from an increased vomiting reflex.
- There is no need to fix temporary structures on machined teeth.
- Reduces the likelihood of complications associated with infection.
- High tightness due to the perfect fit of the structure to the tooth.
- Quality material, the properties of which are no different from tooth enamel.
- Maximum biocompatibility of the material.
- The presence of a wide range of shades allows you to select colors identical to natural teeth.
- The highest accuracy in the installation of restorations, thanks to which the veneer exactly repeats the shape of the tooth, does not crack and does not chip.
- High aesthetics of veneers.
- Thanks to the use of high-tech materials, veneers have a maximum life.
- No costs for the work of a dental technician.
- The percentage of alteration and re-intervention is minimized.
Cost
The subtlety of this prosthetics is the high cost of CEREC veneers.
One of the reasons is the fact that the raw materials used for the production of tooth pads are only imported.

Reviews
- Since childhood, I can’t go to the dentist, as the gag reflex is immediately triggered when they put something in my mouth. As a result, my teeth were in a very poor condition. When I found out about Cerek technology, which eliminates casting, I turned to the dentist. He put crowns on the back teeth, and restored the front teeth with veneers. Very pleased with the results.
- I went to the dentist about the restoration of the front teeth. The doctor suggested putting veneers CEREC. Although in the end the cost of such restoration was not small, I do not regret it at all, since I left the doctor the same day with new teeth. They did everything very quickly, they did not take casts. I am delighted with my new teeth.
